Peacepod

Warranty

We stand behind every pod we make. This warranty covers manufacturing defects in your Peacepod, and it sits alongside your consumer rights.

What this warranty covers

We warrant that your Peacepod is free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, for the periods set out below, starting from the date your pod is delivered. This warranty applies to the original purchaser.

What’s not covered

This warranty does not cover:

  • normal wear and tear, including marks on upholstery, wear to carpet, and minor scratches to surfaces that come with everyday use;
  • damage caused by misuse, accident or neglect;
  • damage caused during installation, relocation, dismantling or reassembly carried out by anyone other than us or an installer we arranged — installing or moving your pod yourself does not void your warranty, but damage that happens in the process is not covered;
  • alterations or modifications to the pod that we have not carried out;
  • repairs carried out by someone other than us or a repairer we arranged, and parts that are not ours;
  • consumable parts, such as filter media and batteries, unless they have failed because of a manufacturing defect;
  • damage from cleaning products or methods other than those in the care guide we supply;
  • use outside a normal indoor office environment — pods are built for indoor commercial spaces, not outdoor, residential or wet areas;
  • equipment you or a third party fit to or place in the pod, such as screens, AV gear or your own furniture;
  • damage that gets worse because a pod kept being used after a fault appeared — tell us early and we can usually sort a small problem before it becomes a big one;
  • events outside anyone’s control, such as fire, flood, storm, earthquake or vandalism;
  • damage that happens in transit — please report this on delivery (see our delivery and returns information); and
  • minor natural variation in handcrafted components.

How to make a claim

Get in touch through our contact page with your proof of purchase and a description and photos of the issue. We will come back to you within three business days. We will diagnose the problem with you first — most problems are solved with a part rather than a visit.

What it costs you. If it is a valid warranty claim, we cover it — the parts, the freight, and a visit if one is needed. Repairs are carried out where your pod is; we will not ask you to send a pod back to us. If we look into a problem and it turns out not to be covered by this warranty, we will tell you what is involved and what it will cost before any work goes ahead.

Parts. We hold the parts most often needed — ventilation fans, LED units and door seals — in New Zealand, so most repairs do not wait on a shipment from overseas. Larger components such as panels and doors are ordered in as they are needed. We can usually supply parts after your warranty period has ended as well.

After a repair. Repairing or replacing a part does not restart or extend the warranty period — the original period carries on.

If you sell or move your pod

This warranty covers the original purchaser. Pods do change hands with a business or a tenancy — if that happens, get in touch and we will look at it case by case. Moving your pod to a new site does not affect your warranty; just bear in mind that damage caused during a move carried out by someone else is not covered.

Your consumer rights

Where the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 applies to your purchase, this warranty is in addition to your rights under it, and nothing here limits or excludes those rights. Sales to business and trade customers are made on our business sale terms, which may modify those rights to the extent the law allows.
