Peacepod

Returns & Refunds

Every Peacepod is made and quoted to order, then delivered and installed for you — so returns work a little differently than they would for an off-the-shelf product.

We are Peacepod Group Limited, trading as Peacepod. If something isn't right with your pod, we'll put it right. Below is how returns, refunds and your consumer rights work.

If something's wrong with your pod

If your pod is faulty, doesn't match what you ordered, or isn't of acceptable quality, we'll put it right. Where the problem can be put right, we'll repair it or replace the affected part within a reasonable time. Where a fault is serious — a failure of a substantial character — or we can't put it right within a reasonable time, the choice is yours: a replacement pod or a full refund. Where the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 applies to your purchase, these remedies reflect your rights under it. Because our pods are large, we'll arrange and cover collection where a pod needs to come back to us.

Damaged in transit

When your pod is delivered and installed, please check it over. If anything looks to have been damaged in transit, let us know within two (2) business days so we can put it right at no cost to you. This short window is only for visible transit damage noticed on delivery — it doesn't limit your other rights below, which stand for the full life of the relevant guarantee. See our Shipping & Delivery page for how delivery and installation work.

Faults that appear later

Faults that show up after delivery are covered both by your consumer rights above and by the Peacepod warranty — the pod frame for 5 years, and furniture, electrical components and sound-absorbing panels for 1 year. See the Warranty page for the full cover and how to make a warranty claim.

Change of mind — standard stock units

We hold a range of pods in stock in our standard colours and specifications. You don't have an automatic right to return a pod simply because you've changed your mind, and the deposit and payment terms in your quote will apply. If your circumstances change, talk to us as early as you can — for a standard stock unit we may, at our discretion, agree to take it back. In that case you'll be responsible for the removal and return freight costs, along with a restocking fee to cover our costs. None of this affects your rights if something is genuinely wrong with your pod.

Custom and made-to-order units

Many customers order a pod built to their own specification — for example in custom or brand colours, or with bespoke branding, finishes or dimensions we wouldn't ordinarily stock. Your specification is set out in the quote you accept before paying your deposit, so the details are agreed before we build. Because a unit made to your specification generally can't be resold, custom and made-to-order units are not returnable or refundable for a change of mind or a cancellation once production has begun, and any deposit for a custom order is non-refundable from that point. This does not affect your rights if a custom unit is faulty or isn't built to the specification we agreed.

Except where the law requires us to bear them — for example, collecting a faulty pod that can't easily be returned — you are responsible for the removal and return freight costs of any return.

How to make a claim or return

To report a fault, transit damage, or any other problem, get in touch through our contact page — the sooner the better. Tell us your order details and, where you can, include photos. We'll walk you through the next steps, arrange any inspection, repair, replacement or collection needed, and keep you updated until it's sorted.

Your consumer rights

Nothing on this page limits or replaces your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 where those apply to your purchase. Sales to business and trade customers are made on our business sale terms, which may modify these rights to the extent the law allows. Thanks for choosing Peacepod.
